Hollis Bischoff, CEP
Senior Admissions Advisor
A college admissions advisor since 2006, Hollis has counseled hundreds of students, and their families, through the increasingly complex and competitive college admissions process.
A parent of 2 college graduates herself, Hollis understands the issues that parents and students face during the high school and college years. As a volunteer with both her local high school (she has been honored as a “Friend of Mountain View/Los Altos Union High school”) and www.build.org, she values school-based student services available. Her college consulting practice is meant to partner with and enhance, not compete with school-provided services. Hollis has been a regular contributor to the “Punch” newsletter, published by College Confidential and College View, a regular columnist with the Los Altos Town Crier, and a featured speaker at high schools and higher educational professional development conferences.
Hollis earned a Graduate-level Certificate in College Counseling with Distinction from UCLA, after a successful professional career, to complement her Bachelor’s of Science in Commerce from DePaul University. She is a member of the Higher Educational Consultant’s Association (HECA), a professional member of the Independent Educational Counselor’s Association (IECA), and Pacific Northwest National Association of College Admissions Counselors (PNACAC). In 2013, she became a Certified Educational Planner, the highest designation available to Independent Educational Consultants.
